NWZ-E436F

The NWZ-E436F is the higher-capacity overseas E Series model with FM radio and multimedia features. It followed the same platform as the E435F. With 8 GB of internal storage it handled MP3, AAC, and WMA playback along with the LCD display, FM radio, WM-PORT, video and photo capabilities, Clear Audio Technology, and 45-hour lithium-ion battery life.

This Walkman model was the most representative version of the generation in actual use. It kept the same screen-first identity and FM-equipped usability without trying to behave like a premium branch. The E436F reflected the point when Sony was allowing the E Series to feel a little richer without losing its place as the more accessible general-purpose Walkman line.
