The D-535G is a portable CD player equipped with a microphone input and vocal cancellation. In addition to audio playback, it includes an audio input configuration and functions for karaoke use. Playback is within the range of a standard CD player, with additional functions for expanded use. It is a derivative model designed for specialized applications.
1994 showed portable CD at one of its most convincing points, where convenience finally matched the promise of the format. That maturity arrived just as outside pressure from file-based listening was beginning to build.
