The NWZ-E435F is an overseas FM-equipped E Series Network Walkman. It incorporated video and photo playback into the compact line. The player provides 4 GB of flash storage supporting MP3, AAC, and WMA files along with an LCD display, FM radio, WM-PORT, video and photo viewing, Clear Audio Technology, and 45-hour lithium-ion battery life.
This model came from the brief period where the E Series became more screen-driven and more media-friendly than its simpler roots would suggest. A larger display, FM radio, photo and video support, and a more polished interface pushed the line into a space where it felt less of an entry-level throwaway and closer to a lightweight multimedia player. Sony stretched the E line upward without fully changing what it was for. It was still an accessible branch, just one dressed in slightly richer clothes than usual.
