D-NE720

The D-NE720 is a more flexible compressed-disc CD Walkman from 2005 that built on the same foundation with MP3 and ATRAC support, a remote for easier navigation, and enough connectivity to fit comfortably into a larger late Sony listening setup. It stayed practical for both commercial albums and large homemade compilations.

That gives it a slightly broader role than the simpler models. The D-NE720 is part of the layer of the line where the disc format is still being treated as something worth integrating instead of just maintaining.
