NWZ-A828

The NWZ-A828 is the 8 GB overseas variant in the fourth-generation A Series lineup. It mirrored the full wireless and display refinements. It provides 8 GB of internal storage for MP3, WMA, AAC, and ATRAC playback along with Bluetooth, video and photo capabilities, and 36-hour lithium-ion battery life.

This Walkman model was one of the clearest examples of the A Series finally becoming easy to understand. It no longer felt like a premium branch being assembled in public. Sony knew exactly what the line was for: compact flagship flash Walkman, just below whatever bigger experiment the company might be pursuing elsewhere. The A Series had spent years searching for stability; here it finally found it.
