NW-S736F

The NW-S736F is a noise-cancelling model in the sixth-generation S Series. It combined isolation with the generation's Omakase Channel and unified card-style body. The player provides 4 GB storage supporting MP3, WMA, AAC, and WAV files along with the 240x320 LCD display, FM radio with recording, noise cancellation, video and photo playback, Clear Audio Technology, Omakase Channel, and 40-hour lithium-ion battery life.

This player continued the same polished late-classic S identity where Sony was maintaining a strong and readable branch instead of trying to invent one. The S line had become a very natural middle ground inside Sony's flash Walkman range, which is why so many of these models felt calmer than the ones that came before them.
