NWZ-S616F

The NWZ-S616F provides the mid-capacity FM and noise-cancelling option in the overseas fifth-generation S Series. It adopted the broader card-style body. It features 4 GB of internal storage supporting MP3, WMA, AAC, and WAV playback. The 240x320 TFT display, FM radio, WM-PORT, video/photo functions, Clear Audio, DSEE, noise cancellation, and 33-hour lithium-ion battery were included.

As part of the overseas lineup, it reflected the S Series move from stick to card form while adding multimedia and isolation features. It is the middle-capacity version of the same FM-equipped S family, and probably the one that makes the most sense as a normal-use player. By this stage, the S Series had finally stopped feeling like an unresolved side branch.
