NW-E015

The NW-E015 is the mid-capacity model in the eighth-generation E Series Network Walkman lineup. It carries forward the LCD upgrade and CD jacket artwork feature. It offers 2 GB of flash memory for MP3, ATRAC, ATRAC3, ATRAC3plus, WMA, and AAC files. The LCD display, Clear Audio Technology, direct USB connection, and 30-hour lithium-ion battery were standard.

This version sat in the middle of the eighth-generation E range, extending capacity while maintaining the generation's modest design refinements. It was the middle-capacity version of the same refined stick-style E generation, and probably the cleanest representation of where the line had settled by then. The player was no longer trying to be radical, tiny, or aggressively styled. It was just trying to be a good compact Walkman.
