NW-E016F

The NW-E016F is the FM-equipped overseas top model in the eighth-generation E Series Network Walkman lineup. It added radio to the generation's highest capacity and refined display. It offers 4 GB storage for MP3, ATRAC, ATRAC3, ATRAC3plus, WMA, and AAC playback. The LCD with CD jacket artwork, Clear Audio Technology, direct USB transfer, FM radio, and 30-hour lithium-ion battery were standard.

The "F" suffix continued the pattern of overseas radio additions within the eighth-generation E stick design. It was the FM-equipped top-capacity overseas branch of that same late E generation, and the most complete expression of the platform in markets where Sony wanted the player to feel as broadly useful as possible. By this point, the E Series no longer needed to prove anything. It just needed to be good.
