The NW-E015F is the FM-equipped overseas version within the eighth-generation E Series Network Walkman family. It paired radio functionality with the series' LCD and artwork improvements. The player provides 2 GB storage supporting MP3, ATRAC, ATRAC3, ATRAC3plus, WMA, and AAC playback. An LCD display with CD jacket support, Clear Audio Technology, direct USB transfer, and 30-hour lithium-ion battery were included.
As part of the overseas "F" branch, it broadened the eighth-generation E Series' everyday utility in the same compact form. It was the FM-equipped counterpart to the NW-E015, and another example of Sony using radio to make a stable flash Walkman feel a little more complete instead of a little more impressive. By this stage the E line was already mature enough that these additions feel natural instead of compensatory.
