The NW-E005F represented the top-capacity FM-equipped overseas model in the seventh-generation E Series Network Walkman family. It maintained the crystal-inspired USB-stick design. It features 2 GB of flash storage and handled MP3, ATRAC, ATRAC3, ATRAC3plus, WMA, and AAC files. An OLED display, direct USB transfer, FM radio, and 28-hour lithium-ion battery were included.
The top-capacity FM-equipped version of the same USB-stick family, and the fullest form of that branch. This is the compact E Series at its most self-contained: broad playback support, rechargeable battery, direct USB practicality, and radio all folded into a tiny body that barely looked like a traditional audio player anymore. It shows how far Sony had come from the more constrained early flash models.
