WM-F2095

The WM-F2095 is a relatively rare radio Walkman that combined a manual AM/FM tuner with auto-reverse playback, Dolby B noise reduction, Mega Bass, an EX head, anti-rolling support, and manual tape selection in a compact black body powered by a single AA battery. It was unusually complete for a compact radio model, bringing together tuner functionality and playback refinement without becoming bulky or heavily electronic. The carry case and overall finish gave it a slightly more resolved feel than ordinary FX-line budget radios.

The F2095 sits in the moment when Sony was still occasionally producing compact radio Walkman that felt a little more serious and self-contained than the mainstream tuner branch around them. It was not a flashy machine, but it was clearly more than just a basic cassette player with radio attached.
