NWZ-S516

The NWZ-S516 is the higher-capacity overseas S Series model with full multimedia support. It mirrored the domestic fifth-generation design language. With 4 GB of flash storage, it played MP3, WMA, AAC, and WAV files. The 240x320 TFT display, FM radio, WM-PORT, video/photo playback, Clear Audio, DSEE, and 33-hour lithium-ion battery remained standard.

This player represented the overseas branch's push toward richer content alongside the S Series' established audio strengths. It was the middle-capacity version of the same generation, and probably the clearest everyday expression of what the S Series had become. It no longer really belonged to a niche. It just sat in a very sensible place between the simpler E models and the more status-conscious A models.
