NW-S202F

The NW-S202F is the FM-equipped variant in the third-generation sports S Series Network Walkman family. It retained the G-sensor fitness functions of the base model. With 512 MB storage supporting MP3, WMA, AAC, and ATRAC3plus playback, it includes a 1-line monochrome OLED display and up to 18 hours of lithium-ion battery life. FM radio joined the direct USB connection and calorie/step/distance tracking.

The FM-equipped overseas counterpart to the NW-S202, carrying the same active-use logic but making the player a little more self-sufficient in day-to-day use. Radio makes particular sense in a sports-focused device because it fits the idea of the player as a grab-and-go object instead of a carefully managed library machine.
