NW-E013F

The NW-E013F is the FM-equipped overseas variant of the eighth-generation E Series Network Walkman. It added radio reception to the base model's core refinements. With 1 GB storage supporting MP3, ATRAC, ATRAC3, ATRAC3plus, WMA, and AAC playback, it includes an LCD display with CD jacket art, Clear Audio Technology, direct USB transfer, and 30-hour lithium-ion battery life.

These "F" models gave the eighth-generation E Series broader appeal in overseas markets without altering the compact stick concept. It was the FM-equipped overseas version of the same later stick-style E platform, adding radio in the familiar Sony way to make it feel more rounded and more self-sufficient in daily life. That works particularly well in this generation because the underlying hardware was already calm and complete.
