Digital Tuner
WM-FX571

A radio Walkman from the upper FX tier, the FX571 combined a synthesized digital tuner with Mega Bass, auto-reverse transport, and remote-control support. The compact chassis runs on a single AA battery and includes Automatic Music Sensor for track skipping, keeping operation clean and efficient.

The design represented Sony's attempt to give radio listeners a few flagship touches at mid-range pricing. It sat above basic FX units to capture users who wanted digital tuning and remote convenience without crossing into full EX-series pricing, extending the cassette radio category's relevance into the final years.
