The WM-FX483 is a later 1998 radio Walkman that continued the digitally tuned FX formula with preset memory, Mega Bass, and a more comfortable, usability-focused body. It still relied on a practical mainstream cassette-and-radio layout, but the tuner controls and overall ergonomics suggest a slightly more polished everyday experience than the simpler digital models below it. The emphasis was clearly on ease.
the kind of late radio Walkman that Sony had become very good at by the end: not revolutionary, not luxurious, just properly organized for the way people actually uses portable radio every day. That is a kind of maturity worth keeping in view.
