WM-FX413

Digital Tuner
WM-FX413

The WM-FX413 is a mid-tier radio Walkman that brought digital synthesized FM/AM tuning into a fairly ordinary cassette-and-radio body, giving the machine more precise station control without turning it into a feature-heavy premium unit. It also includes Mega Bass and a simple portable layout powered by two AA batteries, keeping the cassette side straightforward while making the tuner side feel more modern and dependable.

The FX413 sits in that useful transition where the radio branch starts behaving less of an analog add-on and closer to an organized electronics feature. The FX413 is not flashy, but it suggests Sony was gradually standardizing digital tuner convenience across more of the line.
