The NW-WS413 is a W Series Network Walkman with 4 GB storage supporting MP3, AAC, and WMA playback. A lithium-ion battery delivers up to 8 hours of use.

This model remained part of the compact wearable W Series branch. The WS413 is part of the phase where Sony's sport Walkman line had become one of the company's clearest examples of survival through specialization. The mainstream dedicated music player market was already shrinking fast, but the WS branch was trying to keep the Walkman relevant by making it physically useful in situations where a phone still was not ideal.
