NWZ-A726

The NWZ-A726 is an entry-level model in Sony's 2009 A Series Network Walkman. The A Series served as a video-capable branch with ATRAC compatibility. It features 4 GB storage supporting MP3, WMA, AAC, and ATRAC playback plus video and photo functions. A lithium-ion battery delivers 36 hours of use.

This model is part of the phase where the A Series had finally become a coherent premium flash Walkman line after years of identity wobble. By here Sony had largely settled on what the A Series should feel like: compact, elevated, media-capable, and clearly above the E and S lines in tone. The A726 is Sony finally arriving at a premium flash Walkman that did not need a long explanation.
