The NW-WM1ZM3 is Sony's 2026 Signature Series Walkman, with 256 GB of storage and a 5.5-inch display. Following the NW-WM1ZM2, it retains a gold-plated oxygen-free copper main chassis and adds an oxygen-free copper rear chassis. Dual large solid high-polymer capacitors and KIMBER KABLE internal wiring continue the flagship's emphasis on power circuitry and physical construction.
Android, Wi-Fi and USB-C support downloaded music and streaming services. According to Sony, the updated S-Master HX adds look-ahead noise shaping, while the DSD Remastering Engine can now process streamed music as well as downloaded files.
Sony announced the model in the US on October 15, 2026, and in Japan on October 16. As of October 16, its Japanese launch is scheduled for November 27, 2026.
