NW-WM1ZM2

NW-WM1ZM2

The NW-WM1ZM2 is the top-of-the-line second-generation model in the WM1 series. It features 256GB of internal storage and supports playback of MP3, AAC, WMA, FLAC, Linear PCM, DSD, and MQA formats. It is equipped with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB-C connectivity, DSEE Ultimate, and a DSD remastering engine, and can play for approximately 40 hours. This unit employs a self-contained configuration that utilizes internal storage.

The NW-WM1ZM2 continued Sony's Signature Series at its highest level, carrying forward the material-focused design of the original WM1Z while integrating a modern Android-based platform.

It preserved the core emphasis on mass, power stability, and signal integrity within a portable audio device. The chassis used gold-plated oxygen-free copper, maintaining the high-density construction that defined the earlier WM1Z.

The design prioritized vibration control, electrical grounding, and stable signal paths, aligning the player with high-end stationary audio principles despite its portable form.
