The NW-E303 is an overseas branch of the sixth-generation E Series. It features 256MB built-in storage for ATRAC and MP3 playback and ran up to 50 hours on a lithium-ion battery. It represented the base capacity option in the overseas sixth-generation E Series lineup.
The most basic overseas branch of the generation immediately before the Beans redesign fully took over. It shows the E Series operating as a mature consumer product family instead of a sequence of experiments. The fundamentals were already established: rechargeable flash playback, compact body, and broader format compatibility.
