D-EJ800

The D-EJ800 is part of the late pure-CD Walkman from 2004, built around a slim body, refined G-Protection, optical output, and the familiar remote-driven interface that had come to define the line. It focused on straightforward disc playback with neutral, controlled sound and enough battery flexibility to handle everyday use without much effort.

By this stage, the category had already entered its mature phase. The D-EJ800 was part of the part of the line where the emphasis had shifted away from new capability and toward making the standard formula feel cohesive, predictable, and easy to live with.
