YP-ES22

The YP-ES22 is a close ES-series youth cassette-player variation that retained the same compact form, Mega Bass, and simple playback-first layout as the rest of the line. The lightweight plastic body and stripped controls made it easy to carry and easy to understand, with little emphasis on differentiation beyond compact presentation changes.

That may not sound dramatic, but it is exactly how late cassette survived in the market. Not through constant reinvention, but through enough compact variations to keep the category present and purchasable.
