The WM-F77 is a standard radio Walkman that combined AM/FM stereo reception with auto-reverse playback and Dolby B noise reduction, using a compact body related to the WM-55 platform. Powered by two AA batteries, it balances radio convenience and improved cassette handling without becoming especially large or complex, making it a well-rounded midrange player rather than a more specialized branch product. The controls are laid out cleanly for mixed radio and tape use.
By then, proven cassette-only mechanics were being consolidated into the radio line in a more mature way. It is not an experimental tuner model, but the kind of balanced all-rounder that helps explain why the radio Walkman remained such a durable category.
