The WM-F2061 is a compact radio cassette Walkman that combined FM/AM reception with auto-reverse playback inside a body built for easy everyday portability. The tuner and transport were integrated cleanly enough that the machine felt balanced instead of oversized, with the overall emphasis placed on practical combined listening instead of on ruggedness or more elaborate sound shaping. It was a very stable expression of the radio Walkman by the early 1990s.
The F2061 sits in the point when the radio branch had become fully settled. Sony was no longer proving that radio belonged in a Walkman, but simply continuing to refine how compact and frictionless that pairing could feel. It reads like a mature product category instead of a feature experiment.
