The NW-S644/PI is a color variant of the seventh-generation S Series Network Walkman. It carries the same first-in-series 32 GB flash memory support and x-app integration with 8 GB storage for MP3, WMA, AAC, and WAV files, video and photo playback, the 240x320 TFT display, 42-hour lithium-ion battery, WM-PORT, Clear Audio, DSEE, Lyric Pita, and x-app.

This player carries the same broader role as the base model: the S Series during its more extroverted, speaker-equipped late-2000s phase. The suffix changes the presentation, not the role.
