NW-S15

The NW-S15 is a twelfth-generation S Series Network Walkman offering 16 GB storage for MP3, WMA, AAC, and WAV files. A lithium-ion battery provides up to 77 hours of use with Bluetooth, video and photo playback, and Clear Phase. AptX codec support was included.

The S15 is probably the most naturally balanced version of that simplified late S family. It still carries the same compact, low-friction, playback-first appeal as the surrounding models, but with enough room to make the branch feel more complete and less obviously transitional. Sony was helping simplify its Walkman hierarchy without making the products feel empty.
