The WM-GX322 is an affordable AM/FM recording Walkman that combined cassette recording, radio reception, and built-in stereo microphones in a practical all-in-one body. On this version Sony also includes internal speakers, giving the player more flexibility for casual listening or playback without headphones. Auto-reverse, Mega Bass, basic tape-type selection, and a straightforward rectangular layout kept the machine simple to operate, with function taking clear priority over finish or compact prestige.
This model reminds you how much of the cassette market still revolved around ordinary utility instead of premium portability. The GX322 makes sense for voice notes, casual radio capture, quick playback, or everyday mixed-use situations where convenience mattered more than elegance. It is modest, but very honest about what it was built to do.
