WM-FX855

The WM-FX855 is a Walkman with a built-in radio. It features bass boost and automatic reversal, and uses AA batteries. It belongs to the early Walkman lineage that integrated radio functionality.

The WM-FX855 arrived as a radio-capable Walkman built around a harder, more protective exterior than earlier models. Sharper lines, a firmer shape, and a dual sliding lock gave the unit a sturdy feel while keeping the footprint compact.

Its feature set combined Auto Reverse, AMS, Blank Skip, Dolby B, and logic control with FM, AM, and TV audio reception, plus auto preset functions for quick tuning. Power came from either a rechargeable gumstick or a single AA battery.
