WM-FX655

Digital Tuner
WM-FX655

The WM-FX655 is a higher-end FX-series radio Walkman that combined auto-reverse playback, Mega Bass, AVLS, a digital synthesized tuner, and remote compatibility in a compact body with more polished controls and display behavior than the midrange models below it. It stayed within the non-recording branch, but the machine clearly leaned toward a more refined listening experience, especially for users who depended on presets, easier station access, and in-line control.

This one sits at the point when the FX line starts behaving like a mature late-1990s electronics product instead of just a cassette player with radio added. The tuner and remote matter as much as the tape transport. It is a radio Walkman built for people who uses it constantly and wanted the machine to keep up.
