WM-33

Equalizer
WM-33

The WM-33 is a budget playback Walkman that took the same basic platform as the WM-32 and made it slightly more expressive by adding a visible three-band graphic equalizer. Powered by two AA batteries, it keeps the same manual tape-type selector, status LED, and low-cost plastic construction, but the equalizer sliders give the player a more interactive feel than its plainer sibling. The controls sit prominently on the top surface, making sound adjustment part of the visible identity of the player.

What is being tested here is how much feature feel could be added to a low-end platform without changing the underlying player very much. It is not a premium Walkman disguised as a budget one, but it gives everyday users a little more control and personality in the listening experience. A compact upgrade, but an effective one.
