NWZ-X1051

The NWZ-X1051 is the regional variant of the premium 16 GB X Series Network Walkman. It shared the full suite of advanced features with the standard model. With 16 GB storage supporting MP3, AAC-LC (non-DRM), WMA (non-DRM), and Linear PCM playback, it uses the WQVGA OLED display, Li-Ion battery, touchscreen, Wi-Fi, noise cancellation, direct USB, WM-PORT, video/photo, S-Master, and DSEE, plus OneSeg TV tuner and web functions.

The X1051 is less a separate idea than a regional or market-specific branch of that same X-series experiment. Sony was still trying to make the Walkman feel contemporary again by giving it a touchscreen-first identity and a much more connected, media-aware personality.
