NW-E053

The NW-E053 offers 4 GB capacity in the eleventh-generation Linux-based E Series Network Walkman. It adopted the new OS, connector, and processing tools. It includes 4 GB storage supporting MP3, WMA, and AAC playback. The LCD display, 30-hour lithium-ion battery, WM-PORT, DSEE, Omakase Channel, and Lyric Pita defined its operation.

The middle-capacity version of the same late E family and probably the clearest representation of what the line had become by the early 2010s. A color screen, FM, drag-and-transfer ease, and light sound-enhancement features gave it enough polish to feel current without making it fussy. The E Series had become refreshingly plain in the best possible way.
