The NW-A26HN is a 9th-generation A Series Walkman offering 32 GB storage for MP3, WMA, AAC, FLAC, ALAC, AIFF, and Linear PCM playback. It uses a 50-hour lithium-ion battery with digital noise cancellation and includes bundled earphones.

The A26HN extended that same compact high-resolution formula upward in storage without altering the underlying idea. By this point the A Series had become much less restless. Sony knew what this branch was supposed to be, and that confidence shows in how little it needed to justify itself. It is not trying to reinvent the line. It is simply one of the more complete versions of a product concept that had finally stopped moving around.
