The MZ-NH600D is a limited version of the NH600 series, with specifications optimized for USB transfer, completely omitting optical and line inputs. Therefore, it's less of a direct recording device and more of a Hi-MD player designed for transferring audio files from a PC. While it maintains Hi-MD compatibility and can handle large-capacity discs and multiple recording formats, the lack of external inputs severely limits how these features can be utilized. The only practical recording method without a PC is the microphone input. It's powered by a single AA battery.
