The MZ-N520 is an entry-level NetMD recorder that simplifies its design while retaining the necessary connectivity for MiniDisc recording. It features line input and optical input, supporting recording from external devices. Furthermore, it includes USB transfer, allowing it to handle PC-based audio. MDLP extends recording time through compression, and ATRAC Type-S improves the playback quality of that compressed recording. It also supports direct recording via optical input, retaining ample MiniDisc recording capabilities despite being an entry-level model. Powered by a single AA battery, its ease of use is straightforward.
