D-135

The D-135 followed the same practical approach as its siblings in 1994, with straightforward playback, modest buffering, and a light body suited to regular carry. Sony kept the controls and overall presentation simple enough that the player could disappear into daily use without asking much from the person carrying it.

This model is part of the broad middle of the line where compact adjustments were being made on a platform that already worked. The D-135 is not trying to define the era so much as occupy it, which is often what these everyday models do best once the format had stopped being experimental.
