The WM-K1 is a compact AM/FM radio Walkman also known in the US market as the WM-F32, built around a slim plastic body with manual tuning and straightforward cassette playback. Powered by two AA batteries, it integrates the radio section cleanly beside the tape transport and keeps the controls simple enough for easy one-handed use. This model stays focused on portability rather than advanced tape handling or extra circuitry.
A genuinely compact radio tier was being maintained beneath the more elaborate tuner and Sports models. Not every radio Walkman needed to be feature-heavy to make sense.
