MZ-S1

The MZ-S1 is an outdoor-oriented MiniDisc recorder that prioritizes durability and ease of use over compactness. Its casing is reinforced, featuring a sealed structure designed for splash resistance and a reflective exterior for improved visibility in dark environments. NetMD enables high-speed transfer of compressed audio from a PC, and MDLP support allows for long recording times. While it supports direct recording via line input and optical digital input, it lacks a microphone input, making it unsuitable for voice recording. It features a unique control configuration, including one-handed operation via a joystick on the top and an integrated backlit display. Powered by a single AA battery, its design prioritizes reliability over sophistication.
