About
ObsoleteSony
ObsoleteSony is an independent archive and publishing project dedicated to preserving Sony's products, design, and history.
PSPMAN
PSPMAN began with a simple idea: the PSP already has almost everything a great pocket music player needs.
PSPMAN is an ObsoleteSony homebrew project that turns the Sony PSP into a focused, local FLAC and MP3 player. Its interface draws on Walkman design language while remaining built specifically for the PSP's screen and physical controls.
The Public Alpha opens PSPMAN to wider real-hardware testing. Community feedback helps shape compatibility, reliability, and future releases.
PSPMAN is independently developed and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Sony.
Credits
PSPMAN is built with PocketJS and open-source components including QuickJS, rust-psp, libFLAC, minimp3, and supporting font and image libraries. Their licenses and required notices accompany the release package.
