ObsoleteSony Books are small-scale print projects focused on specific parts of Sony's history.
Each book is built through long-term research, collecting, and image gathering, using products, documents, and printed artifacts as primary material. The goal is not to cover everything, but to select and arrange what matters into a complete, readable sequence.
Each project follows its own method. Some are structured chronologically, others by category or by source material. The structure is defined first, and the material is shaped to fit it.
Images come from Sony's original press and promotional materials, preserved as records of how products were presented at the time, including their layout, typography, and visual tone.
These are independent projects produced in small runs and released through limited campaigns. They are not made for retail distribution and are shared directly with people who follow the work.
The books are meant to be held, revisited, and used as reference, forming a body of work that continues to grow over time.
